Everglades Field Sites

Site Name Data Site Description
GS33
v,t,s,c
GS33 is located near the NPS P33 hydrological station and the USGS ET data-collection platform. The vegetation is comprised of spike rush with a heavy periphyton concentration.
GS202
t
GS202 is co-located with the NPS NP202 hydrological station. Vegetation in the area consists mainly of very dense cattails.
GS203
v,t,s,c
GS203 is located near the NPS NP203 hydrological station. The site is in medium dense sawgrass on the edge of a dense sawgrass stand.
SH1
v,t
SH1 is co-located with USGS/BRD research site. Vegetation is sparse spike rush on the edge of a dense sawgrass stand.
SQBN
v,t,s,c
SQBN is located in a 500-acre area near Squawk Creek that burned in early June 2001. The remaining vegetation, mostly sawgrass, is very sparse.
SQUB
v,t,s,c
SQUB is located near SQBN in an area that was not effected by the burn. The vegetation is dense sawgrass.
X1
v,t,s,c
X1 is located about 3 miles west of SH1. Vegetation is medium dense rush.
3A15
v,t,s,c,m
3A15 is located in Water Conservation Area 3A. The vegetation is sparse sawgrass and lily pads.
GS36
v,t,s,c
GS36 is located near the NPS P36 hydrologic station. The vegetation is sparse spikerush.
Coastal Stations
These sites are located off the southwest coast and the near-coastal riverways of Everglades National Park.
ENP Stations
These sites are operated by Everglades National Park.
