Florida Bay - Nest Key(This photo is a 360-degree IPIX interactive image, which allows you to navigate with your mouse: up, down, right and left, in order to see the entire surrounding landscape.) When the photo is first loaded you are standing in the waters of Florida Bay. The Nest Key shoreline is to the left and just to the right of the shoreline, arched, prop roots grow from a solitary mangrove. As you continue to the right, the open waters of the Bay are interrupted by a small solitary mangrove with prop roots and a boat anchored just beyond the mangrove. Large, white clouds sit in the sky. Continuing to the right, more mangroves with prop roots come into view. Just before you complete the full 360-degree turn, Nest Key and darker skies are seen. Navigating up with your mouse, you can see the cloudy sky. Navigating down, you see the South Florida Information Access (SOFIA) web site logo, which is linked to the SOFIA main page (http://sofia.usgs.gov). |
