We thank Dr. William F. Loftus, USGS, for arranging the USGS/ENP collaboration, and for providing technical and scientific support that greatly improved this study. ENP volunteers Christophe Blanc, Anne Marie Labouche, Camille Pecqueoux, Timothy Schmidt, ENP biologist Libby Nance and U.S.G.S. technician Andrew Martin, helped M.C. Bruno with field work. Dr. Janet W. Reid, Virginia Museum of Natural History, helped with copepod identification. This research was supported by South Florida Critical Ecosystem Science Initiative funding to the Principal Investigator, S.A. Perry. Funding for M.C. Bruno was made possible by a cooperative agreement with Dr. Kelsey Downum, Dean for Research, Faculty of Arts and Science, Florida International University, Miami, Florida. Three reviewers and Dr. Rick Jacobsen (ENP) helped to improve the manuscript with their comments.
