GIS Data
This section contains all of the Arc/Info data layers used to create all of the illustrations within this report. Geographic information system (GIS) technology and data played an important part in the production of this report.
This data base was assembled using available data from Federal and State agencies, primarily South Florida Water Management District.
Metadata for each data layer accompanies each data layer. The metadata was manually created using FGDC ESRI metadata content standards.
Parameters
The Synthesis GIS Data Base consists of ARC/INFO version 8.x coverages.
The Landuse Coverages are in Florida State Plane Coordinate System, East Zone, Units Feet, Zone 3601, Datum NAD27 and all other coverages are in UTM Coordinate System, Units Meters, Zone 17, Datum NAD27. All are provided in Arc/Info export format.
