+ Past Conference:
- The Greater Everglades Ecosystem Restoration (GEER) 2010 theme was "The Greater Everglades: A Living Laboratory of Change". Change comes in many forms . . . Degradation Change, Restoration Change, Human Influence Change, Threatened and Endangered Species Change, Invasive Species Change, Nutrients-Contaminants Change, Climate Change, Change in Sea Level Rise and Natural Hazard Change. All of these "Changes" are actively impacting the Greater Everglades. It is imperative we understand change so we can predict change (Science), that we integrate the 'Science of change' into Planning for the future; and, that we use Science and Planning to help us move forward with effective Policy for a sustainable future. GEER 2010 provided a valuable forum for restoration practitioners to do just that. Conference presentations are now available online from the conference website.
+ Upcoming Meetings/Conferences:
- National Surface Water Conference and Hydroacoustics Workshop, March 28-April 1, 2011, Tampa, Florida.
- American Water Resources Association's 2011 Spring Specialty Conference: Managing Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources: Adaptation Issues, Options, and Strategies, April 18-20, 2011, Baltimore, Maryland.
- The National Conference on Ecosystem Restoration, August 1-5, 2011, Baltimore, Maryland.
- The International Water Conference, November 13-17, 2011, Orlando, Florida.
