Down-core changes in five cores. Columns illustrate downcore changes in significant molluscan fauna (shown as percent abundance), Shannons diversity index, evenness, number of faunal groups, and number of individual specimens. Q-mode clusters are shown for cores included in the analyses. RXIc group is composed primarily of species that prefer salinities less than 12 ppt. Depth is shown in cm. Rainfall data is compiled from NOAA NCDC website (http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/). Ages for Whipray, Bob Allen and Russell are based on 210Pb analysis.

| Q-mode cluster of compiled percent abundance data (cores, push-cores, and vegetation samples). Clusters were generated using log-ratio transformed and centered percent abundance data, unweighted paired group method, average-linkage (UPGMA), with cosine theta distance measurement, dual clustering procedure, and random input order.
