LOCATION.--Lat 26o 21’ 36”, long 81o 51’ 28”, in sec.24, T.47S., R.24 E, Lee County, Bonita Springs Quadrangle, Hydrologic Unit 03090204. located 20 ft from south bank of Big Hickory Pass near the bridge fenders on Estero Blvd, approximately 0.2 mi west of the intersection of Broadway and Hogue Channel, 0.8 mi east of the Gulf of Mexico, 2 mi north of Bonita Springs. 

DRAINAGE AREA.--Indeterminate.

GAGE.--Satellite data collection platform with pressure transducer and acoustic doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. See REMARKS.

REMARKS.--Salinity record rated excellent except for:  10/29-30, 12/20, 1/14-16, 6/17, 7/22-23, 7/26-8/11, and 8/13-9/30 when data are missing; from 1/21-2/15, 5/8-27, 6/4-7/21 which are rated good; and from 2/16-26 which are rated fair.  Temperature record rated good. Salinity and temperature sensors located at -4.5 ft NGVD (TOP) and -6.5 ft (BOTTOM), bottom discontinued August 13, 2004.
